What is

Fircreek Day Camp
All About?

Located in Bellingham, Washington, in a picturesque wooded area, within walking distance of its own waterfront property, Fircreek is all about providing an incredible summer experience for children entering 1st–6th grade.

From swimming & boating on beautiful Lake Whatcom, to sports & games, creative crafts, singing and all manner of silliness, summer weeks at Fircreek are packed with fun for campers.

Fircreek is dedicated to modeling love and respect for each child and provides a great environment for having fun, making new friends, learning about Jesus, and cultivating new interests.

At Fircreek Day Camp, your kiddos matter to us. We strive to provide a caring environment that is activity-based, action-packed, and full of fun, where children can succeed and feel great about themselves and others. We carefully select and train our staff members, who are dedicated to the care, support, and safety of your children.

We recognize that childcare in Whatcom County is a high need. We also recognize that families need dependable programs. When it comes to taking care of you and your family we want to do that at the highest level.

Each child is important to God. Although we do not focus on denominational or religious distinctions, we are consistent with our mission by presenting the Biblical message of Jesus.

We have a blast, and we let kids know that God is a part of it. Fircreek is a place where healthy, positive love flows; we give God credit for it while respecting your child’s beliefs and freedoms.

Hello, my name is Ellie Fowler AKA Quetzalcoatl, or simply Quetza for short.

My adventure with The Firs first began in 2009, when I counseled at Fircreek Day Camp. I returned to Fircreek and served for six consecutive summers. I am overjoyed to return to The Firs as the Fircreek Day Camp Director; being back feels like coming home. I have a passion for loving little hearts to Jesus and empowering others to love and lead like Jesus. My husband Will and I met in the spring of 2018 and married in the fall of the same year. We welcomed our daughter Clementine, who shares a birthday with me, in November 2021. I am so grateful for the Lord's kindness in bringing me back to The Firs after an eight year hiatus.
